Chrome Plated Steel Rod

    A hardened chrome plated rod is a metallic rod that has undergone a process of hard chrome plating. This involves the electrolytic deposition of chromium onto the rod's surface, resulting in a hard, durable, and corrosion-resistant finish. Typically made from materials like CK45, 42CrMo4, or SAE 1045, these rods are further enhanced through induction hardening, which increases their surface hardness and wear resistance.


Introduction of Hard Chrome Plated Rod

The chrome plated rod has a guiding effect of sliding bearings, which can enable products to move in a straight line. Precision linear optical axis is applied in many linear motion systems such as cylinder rods, automatic precision printers, automatic cutting machines, and industrial robots. The requirements for these linear motion systems are: simple design, good execution capability, low maintenance costs, use of carefully selected materials, high-frequency heat treatment, accurate outer diameter dimensions, true roundness, true straightness, and surface treatment.

Classification of Chrome Plated Rods

1. Ordinary chrome plated rod: Due to the contact between the precision linear optical axis and the linear bearing point, the surface hardness requirement for the ordinary precision linear optical axis is very high, so the material and heat treatment method are important.
2. Chrome plated rod: A chrome plated rod is coated with a layer of hard chromium on the basis of a regular straight axis, which is suitable for environments prone to rust or poor conditions. This axis is widely used in industrial robots and the moving parts of automatic sliding system devices.
3. Chrome plated rod: Due to its thick chrome plating layer, chrome plated rods can be directly used for precision piston rods and some self-lubricating bearings. Due to its moderate hardness, it has been applied in many fields.
4. Stainless steel precision linear shaft: Stainless steel precision linear shaft has corrosion resistance and wear resistance to maintain its operational performance. Therefore, it can be applied in situations where oxidation is prone to occur, such as water, chemicals, steam, seawater, etc.
